Season 2027-2028: Good rankings and European Championship 2028!

Dear friends,

Petrolul's FM 2011 story has reached season 2027-2028, which is a personal record: 17 seasons in a row as manager of a football club, my favorite football club, Petrolul Ploiesti, This season was also a season to remember for one of my strikers, Douglas, who has been designated the fan's favorite:

 
Me and Douglas were not the only ones who celebrated new records on a national level, the club itself registered records too:

Anyway, due to the fact that Petrolul won Liga 1, U Cluj, the finalist of the Romanian Cup, qualified for Europa League preliminary rounds, even if the team performs in the Romanian Second League:

Unfortunately, Petrolul didn't succeed to exceed the European results from the previous two seasons, although their performance wasn't bad at all for a very young inexperienced but talented team:

That was the European story on the club level, containing Petrolul's performance in Europe, which gave us at the end a good position in the European club rankings:

On a international level, in Europe took place the European Championship 2028 with the following results:

Congratulations to Denmark and the following two players, the best of the tournament:

One last consequence of the European Championship is that Serbia wanted me to become their new national manager, following the bad results of the last one:

Season 2026-2027 - Hai Petrolul! - C'mon Petrolul!

First of all, I would like to tell you that my adventure as national manager of Morocco didn't last long, as I didn't succeed in obtaining the qualification from the group stage to the knockout rounds of the African Cup of Nations, edition 2027. They didn't sack me, it is I who quit the post:

Coming back to my team, Petrolul has another excellent season on a national level, doing the double for the fourth time in row:

All this performance despite the interference of the chairman of the club, who sold my best right winger at the beginning of the season, without consulting my opinion, as usual:

Why consulting me, at least as a sign of respect, considering the fact that the club's budget was good enough even before this transaction. But no respect at all, as he is the boss, not even for this record:

At least, he didn't sell my best striker, who proved to be also the best player of the South American U20 Championship:

Now, on the European level, we managed to exceed the expectations in the Champions League, the images speak for themselves:

Yes, we made it through the group stage up to the Champions League Spring and I am proud of my team, even if we lost heavily in front of Barcelona in the 1st Knockout round. But the best team in Europe this season was the Italian team Bari, which won their first Champions League in history:

With Antonio Carlos the star of the competition! Elsewhere in Europa League  the trophy went to:

Congratulations to both Bari and Porto, teams that were outsiders in the European competitions!
And before I end this post I will give you one last news, on a world-wide level the best player in 2026 was the same with the one who won the Golden Ball in the world, Mark Jones from Chelsea London:
